About the Event
In place of getting our nails done for spa night this year, we will be hosting a relaxing at home yoga night! Join us for an evening of relaxation with an hour long restorative/yin yoga class just for you! We will move through some gentle poses, opening up our hips and shoulders and explore some poses for optimal rest and relaxation. This class will help us relieve the effects of chronic stress, emerging from class with a renew sense of calm.
Please bring to class:
-a yoga mat if you have one (if not, a carpeted floor will do just fine!) - a yoga block if you have one (a hardcover book is a good substitute) -a yoga strap if you have one (a scarf or a necktie or a robe belt is a good substitute) -a bolster or pillow -a blanket - water if you think you'll want some while practicing
Some other suggestions:
- come in clothes are comfy and easy to move in -find a quiet space to yourself, maybe a place you can dim the lights -maybe play some yoga or spa music (XM radio or amazon have decent playlists) -if you like essential oils, maybe put a few drops on a kleenex and have it nearby
Paula is a RPYT200 (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) and has been teaching yoga since 2013. She has taught a variety of types of classes over the years but has found her real passion is teaching prenatal and mom & baby yoga.
This class will be accessible for every *BODY* - no prior yoga experience necessary! Please let Paula know prior to class (in your RSVP would be best) if you are pregnant so modifications can be made to the poses.
Meeting will take place via zoom. (Zoom link will be posted in the Members Only Facebook Group, and sent to members via email.)
